Jett's Blessing Day

We blessed Jett the first of this month and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. There were no tears on Jett's part and he held very still (and wide awake) during the blessing. Brett did a wonderful job and I am so proud and grateful Brett holds the priesthood power and was able to give Jett those wonderful promises.

The day before the blessing (Saturday) I got really sick and I couldn't even talk or get out of bed let alone take care of two kids. I called up my friend Kirsten (one of the most wonderful people in the world) and I couldn't even talk to her on the phone. Luckily I didn't have to because she guessed that I was pretty sick and she said she was coming over to pick up my boys and watch them for the day. I can't thank her enough for what she did for me that day. I went to the doctor and he said I had a really bad viral cold. That basically means there is nothing I can do about it but wait it out. I called my mom up crying on Saturday telling her I didn't know if I should postpone the blessing or just cancel the dinner afterwards. I was in no shape to be going to church let alone hosting a dinner for all of my family. Being the amazing parents that they are, my mom and dad just told me to go to bed and they would take care of everything. I didn't even have to cook or prepare anything that Sunday. I have an amazing family and I just want to tell them how grateful I am for everything they do for me and my family. I couldn't have had such a wonderful experience with out their help.
