Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter this year. I'm glad I was able to be a part of the celebration this time. Last year I was in the hospital having Jett. The boys had fun finding Easter eggs and playing with their cousins. Thanks Annie for letting us come celebrate at your house this year!

Girls trip to Las Vegas

I was lucky enough to spend my spring break with my friends from work. I missed my boys, but I had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from my trip:And my favorite picture from my trip is....Yeah, I pretty much enjoyed getting this picture taken. No, we didn't go see the Chippendale's show. These nice looking gentlemen were on Fremont Street, and I stopped to get my picture taken with them.
I had a blast in Vegas! I would like to thank my travel agent/chauffeur Robin for making this trip possible for all of us!

Broken Dryer = Night at the Laundromat

Our dryer broke this week, and I was lucky enough to spend my whole evening hanging out at the laundromat doing a week's worth of laundry (sense my sarcasm?). Here are some positives and negatives about using a laundromat:

  • Washing and drying all of my clothes at the same time was awesome!
  • I was able to read my book while waiting for my laundry to finish washing and drying.

  • I took a $20 bill thinking that would be enough. I ran out of quarters when my clothes were halfway dry. Maybe I shouldn't have used some of those quarters on my chips and drink...oops!
  • I didn't wear pants with pockets, so I had a hard time holding & not dropping 80 quarters.
  • There are weird, creepy people that hang out at the laundromat. I didn't dare leave to get more quarters for fear someone would steal our underwear.
  • Instead of spending a nice evening at home with my family, I was stuck at the laundromat until 11:30.
  • Because I ran out of quarters and my clothes were only halfway dry, I had to spread/hang up most of the clothes all over my house when I got home.
  • It was nice getting all my clothes cleaned all at once, but now I have a Mount Everest sized laundry pile of clothes I need to fold and put away. There goes 2 hours of my life!

Reed LOVED hiding in the laundry while letting Jett try to find him. Atleast my boys were able to have some fun with my "Pile of Guilt". Yes, it's been 2 days since I went to the laundromant, and I still haven't folded or put the clothes away. Working, taking care of two very busy boys, and everything else we have going this week has prevented me from attending to my laundry.

Can you find Reed?

Easter Morning Last Year

Last year after 2 pushes on Easter morning, Jett Cortney Henrie arrived at 8:10 weighing 7 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. I can't believe it's already been a year. Jett has been the easiest little boy to raise, and we have had so much fun with him. Here are a FEW (I have many) of my favorite things about Jett:
  • Jett's smile can make any day/moment better than it was before.
  • I love his open-mouthed kisses, slobber and all.
  • Opening his bedroom door & seeing him bounce up & down with excitement to see me.
  • I love it when he tries to bark back at the dogs.
  • Jett has the laziest, fastest army crawl I've ever seen (too much weight in his mid-section to hold up for long periods of time I guess).
  • I love how Jett follows Reed EVERYWHERE. He loves to do anything Reed is doing.
  • I love it when Jett splashes Reed (& sometimes me) while in the bathtub.
  • Jett makes the funniest moaning sound when he has run out of food and wants more.
  • Jett's fetish with garbage cans drives me crazy, but it is pretty funny to see him stuck inside of them.

Jett, we just want to tell you how much we love you, and we are so grateful to be blessed with you in our lives.

Happy Birthday Jett

Happy 1st Birthday Jett

Our little guy turned one a couple weeks ago and here are a few pictures from our celebrations:

After: Jett knew exactly what to do with his birthday cakeMy parents threw Jett a birthday party at their house last week, and the food was delicious!!
Reed and Carter REALLY wanted to help Jett open his presents (and play with them too!). Watch out for Jett's kisses - open mouth & some licking.
Winnie the Pooh Cake
Jett's second birthday cake. By then he was a expert cake-eater!
Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun party!
